1.6 million 4G subscribers in Nepal

Nepal has been progressing more in the field of networking services. Along with 2Gand 3G, many places of Nepal are provided by the facility of 4G service.

Hence, the 4G network users are increasing rapidly. The NT (Nepal Telecom) launched this service back in 1st January for the first time. But due to the ongoing probe of CIAA( Commission for Investigation of Abuse Authority), NT has not been able to expand its 4G service to other places except Kathmandu and Pokhara. According to the research by NTA, Nepal Telecommunication Authority there are more than 1.6 million people found in Nepal who have subscribed for the 4G mobile network service.

The MIS ( Management Information System) report of NTA says, 1,645,969 subscribers of the 4G network are found from the mid-April to mid-May. Talking about Ncell, it has been expanding its 4G services rapidly to many places in Nepal and it has got almost one million subscribers at present. Also according to the report by the NTA, NT has around 574,752 subscribers and Smart Telecom (ST) has around 33,054 subscribers.
