Eelo, An alternative to Android, iOS
Eelo is a non-profit project, in the public interest. It builds open-source mobile operating systems and associated web services that respect user’s data privacy. They have an international core team of experienced entrepreneurs, developers, and designers, with a growing community of contributors.
In today’s telecommunication world, the most important is the data privacy. For providing a secure operating system, Gael Duval, creator of Mandrake Linux, has confirmed that he is working on “eelo”, an open-source operating system that will be based on Android but won’t use any of the Google services.
As we know, we use a phone which runs on operating systems belonging to either Google or Apple. It is known to everyone that Google is tracking us by catching a lot of information about what we do. To overcome the problem of data security, Gael Duval teamed up with two other developers to create eelo. It is an Android-based operating system that places an emphasis on privacy.
This project will provide an alternative mobile operating system and associated web-services. It also includes email, cloud storage, and online office tools. It will release attractive-designed smartphone ROMs and smartphones for the average user, with associated web-services.
Eelo aim is to inform their users about all the challenges behind their data privacy. When it is developed completely, it will provide a redesigned launcher, icons, notification system, and control center. It will be very difficult to use this OS instantly for the regular user of Google Services.
If eelo will be able to provide the user with the best secure operating system, then hopefully it will give a tough competition to Google Services.
We hope that you have got lots of information about eelo. I If you any confusion or want to suggest something then please comment us for further information.
