Nepal Telecom does not have call recording system

“Nepal Telecom is a state-owned telecommunication service provider in Nepal with 91.49% of the government share”.

In other words, Nepal Telecom: Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd, has recently claimed that there’s no system of recording phone calls of its customers in the company.

However, NTC only records the call duration of the customers as said by one of the officials of the NTC office. Moreover, the call detail and the number of the dialer/receiver can be provided only to the concerned authority. Hence, Voice record is not in the service of NT company. It is difficult for NTC to install this record system in all the devices.

The NTC official has given a statement for this i.e. “Nowadays there are different mobile applications that record the voice clip, those applications are not made with the consent of NTC“.
