Nepal Telecom establishes the first optical fiber link on high mountainous areas and on the Solukhumbu district. It helps in the expansion of quality telecommunication services.
Now, Customers in the Solukhumbu district will get sustainable and continuous service. Solukhumbu is one of the most remote areas of the country. The recently completed optical fiber link will increase the quality of telecommunication services for that area.
Due to the limited quality and capacity of the radio link, high speed and service were not available for a long time despite the needs and desires of the service receivers.
Pattale Repeater of Solukhumbu district, which lies at an altitude of 3000 meters from sea level is the recently connected station. The station is linked with a fiber connection having a capacity of 10 GBPS.
If there appears an unpredicted problem with the operation of the new optical fiber link, the radio link can be used immediately. so, the regular availability of the service remains as it is.
Areas including Everest Base camp, Khumjung, Namche, Lukla, Salleri, Faplu, and the entire Solukhumbu district will benefit from this service. Quality of Telephone, Internet and 4G services will improve by this operation. Similarly, from this connection, it will be easier to exchange mobile traffic from Khotang and Okhaldhunga districts.
In past years, there used to be many comments about the quality of telephone services. From now on, with the use of fiber link, customers are expected to get quality service.
