Uber, launching data centre in Kathmandu soon

Uber, a famous transportation network company, whose official app named “Uber” is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes. In other words, Uber is your driving partner who takes you for the ride wherever and whenever you want a ride in the country where Uber operates. You just need to request a ride in its official app, and then it picks you up in your location. Also, it’s easy to pay with credit or cash in selected cities. Uber is a technology platform.

Uber is found in more than 500 cities worldwide. However, this company is planning up to launch its center in Kathmandu Valley. As it is found in many countries, it’s next target is Kathmandu.
According to the President of United Trader Syndicate(UTS), Mr. Suraj Vaidya said: “Uber’s data center will be situated in current office of United Traders Syndicate in Chabahil, which is an authorized dealer of Toyota motors in Nepal.”
The company has chosen Nepal to establish its global data center because of cost factor i.e. it’s cheaper to set up the center here rather than in any other south Asian countries. This decision was made after doing many rounds of the meeting.
However, Uber has been progressing more in recent years in all around the world that’s why they are investing extremely in setting up the data center. In 2016 Uber had served two billion trips and in 2017 the number of trips escalated again
