Virtual IT Job Fair conducted successfully first in Nepal

Genese Cloud Academy, Girls in Tech – Nepal, and Jobs Dynamics successfully co-hosted ‘Virtual Job Mela’ – probably the primary of its kind virtual IT job fair in Nepal on 1 June 2020. quite 30 companies had found out their online job stalls with many jobs to match participants’ dream jobs. the work fair saw the participation of 500+ enthusiastic youths.

Keeping this harsh reality in mind, Girls in Tech – Nepal together with Genese Cloud Academy and Jobs Dynamics hosted a virtual job fair with an aim to compile employers and job applicants.

As a part of the work fair, applications were called from interested participants a couple of weeks before the virtual event, and shortlisted applicants were notified of the timing through email. During the particular event, the applicants could browse companies during a virtual lobby, enter the companies’ virtual booths, inspect open positions, and have chats with company representatives, beat real-time. Job seekers and employers were connected with one another through ZOOM, a video conferencing tool. the work fair provided a totally digital event experience for job seekers and recruiters. Candidates matching the need were hired on the spot.

Dinesh Silwal, CEO of Datalytics Pvt. Ltd., one among the exhibitors, expressed happiness on joining the work fairly. He added, “It was our first time participating during a job fair of this type. Normally, we would like to be within the room with somebody and appearance them within the eye once we want to supply them employment. But the virtual job fair may be a new reality. Similarly, Susmita Dhital, a student of ISMT College and one among the participants within the job fair shared, “I had an excellent experience with the Virtual Job Mela.
