Since the Coronavirus outbreak, the Nepal Government has worked tirelessly to control from their side, yet; the numbers are growing day by day.
Here comes SmartPalika, a company that aims to iMpact Local Governments, with their smart tools, made them launch an app at this time of crisis to fight against coronavirus, the company decided to make it completely free of cost for all the 753 Local Governments. The app is developed in collaboration with Cellapp Innovations and Rakshya.
The system currently includes mobile apps and integrated COVID-19 control measures:

- Isolation / Self Isolation Management
- Self Assessment / Daily Reporting
- Live Tracking and Monitoring
- Covid19 Contact Tracing
- Information and Data Management
- Reports
With the help of their partners (Smart Palika), features like contact tracing are yet to come within the app. For that, they are putting enormous effort together.
The system is monitored by the Health Coordinator, Local Representatives, and the District Administration Office. You can also take self-examination of your own, send daily reports, also can get an official report within the app.

Our intentions are clear – first, enable the Local Governments to adapt Technology and second be prepared with Data Technologies that will guide us in fighting the crisis; if this happens to get worse in the future, hopefully, that will not happen.”
