Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event tomorrow is expected to unveil groundbreaking advancements in its Galaxy S25 series, loaded with artificial intelligence features. However, a recent leak by renowned tipster Evan Blass has revealed a significant shift in Samsung’s AI ecosystem: Galaxy AI features will be free only until the end of 2025, transitioning to a paid model in 2026.

Leaked Details About Galaxy AI

Blass shared a promotional video on Substack showcasing the new Galaxy S25 and its extensive AI capabilities. A specific image from the video carried an important footnote: “Samsung’s Galaxy AI functions will be free throughout 2025 and require a Samsung account to log in.”

This suggests that Galaxy AI features may become subscription-based starting in 2026. It’s unclear whether this applies solely to the S25 lineup or extends to older Galaxy models, but Samsung users may need to pay for future access to these cutting-edge tools.

Past Indications of Paid AI Features

Samsung’s move isn’t entirely unexpected. In early 2024, Samsung Electronics Chairman T.M. Roh stated in an interview with The Economic Times that internal research indicated a segment of users would be willing to pay for premium AI features. These comments hinted at a potential monetization plan for Galaxy AI.

Additionally, a similar message was spotted on Samsung’s official website months ago, subtly preparing users for a paid AI ecosystem.
