Sastodeal is one of the popular e-commerce industries that has a significant impact on the Nepali economy. With its amazing services, it has become one of the leading e-commerce companies in Nepal with millions of customers.
With the help of its vendors and part over Nepal, they have created a logistic network that ensures the deliveries almost everywhere in the country. Its main aim is to provide better products with its customers at affordable prices.
Now to expand its services, it collaborates with Nepal Government and signs an agreement. With this agreement, Sastodeal will onboard the Nepal government as a vendor.
As per the agreement, now Sastodeal will make the delivery of orders on the behalf of Nepal Government. For now, the service is only of Kathmandu valley and within it’s 5KM of coverage around ring road but soon it will be expanding across the country.
Shri Maniraj Khanal, deputy general manager of Food Management and Trading Company, said the deal with Sastodeal was in line with its expansion plan.
“We signed a pact with the private firm on Thursday to enlarge our reach. The government has also prioritized online trade through the budget statement for the fiscal year 2020-21,” he said.
“We are holding talks with other private sector e-commerce service providers to expand delivery services of the company’s food items,” Khanal said.
Somehow, such a partnership is signed for the first time. Before this, the Nepal government has not made any partnership with any local e-commerce company.
Recently, Sastodeal got an investment of one million dollars from the Dolma Impact Fund along with other investors. The company has set a goal to reach one billion rupees income in another 18 months.
Well, thanks to the Nepal government for this positive step. Let’s hope for the successful partnership between the Nepal government and Sastodeal. May this partnership bring positive changes in online shopping.
