Everest Hack 2019 : Biggest Hackathon in Nepal

EVEREST HACK 2019, which is going to be the biggest hackathon in Nepal, is organized in collaboration with Everest Hack, CSIT Association of Nepal & Siris Youth Foundation. It is going to be held on July 19th to 21st, 2019. Everest Hackathon is a 48 hours hackathon where students, designers, entrepreneurs, hackers, and problem solvers come together in small teams to share ideas and to develop innovative solutions to the challenges presented and faced by our societies through the medium of technology. It is expected to encourage creativity and teamwork spirit, generate tech leaders, promote gender diversity, and expand hackathon culture in Nepal. The team of Everest Hack includes hackers who have participated in over twenty-five hackathons in different parts of Europe, who truly understand the spark and creativity that hackathons ignite.

WHY KATHMANDU?
Undoubtedly, Kathmandu is one of the most active and vivid centers of technological progress in Nepal. Many renowned tech companies, IT students, freelancers, designers, and entrepreneurs reside in the capital. Therefore, Kathmandu would be a great starting point for establishing a quality Hackathon culture in Nepal.

What’s in it for me?
As a participant, you get the following:

What is the actual theme of the event?
Different National and International Tech Companies will come with their challenges on the opening ceremony of the event and will present their challenges that a team accepts and work on those challenges.

Do I need to be a student?
Everest Hack is open for everyone including students, engineers, designers, marketers, professionals, etc.

Do you provide travel reimbursements?
For participants traveling from within Nepal (outside Kathmandu Valley), we plan to provide travel reimbursements. However, we cannot guarantee travel reimbursements as of now. We would update about it in this space soon.

To get reimbursed, you need to submit travel receipts, attend the hackathon and submit a project.
Unfortunately, for participants traveling outside of Nepal, we can’t provide any travel reimbursements, but we will help with visa documents.

After Hackathon: The winning team and team with viable ideas will be coached, mentored, and assisted to find investors by our business incubator partners to turn the idea into a startup.
