Ncell contributes 10 Crore to Nepal Government for Coronavirus Prevention Fund

While the safety and well-being of citizens affected by COVID-19 is the priority, telecom companies like Ncell, NTC, SmartCell also ISP’s have a significant possibility to contribute to the nation.

In this pandemic situation, Ncell responds to COVID-19 by contribution NPR. 100 Million (10 Crore) to the Government-established Coronavirus Prevention and Control Fund that will be utilized to procure personal protective gear, health equipment, PCR testing kits and other materials required in the testing, quarantine, and treatment of patients with COVID-19.

Andy Chong, CEO of Ncell on Tuesday handed over a cheque of NPR. 100 million (10 Crore) to Narayan Prasad Bidari, secretary at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

As in their statement, how they are navigating through COVID-19 situation, Ncell seems to support direction by Government for a complete lockdown to prevent the spread of the disease. The organization has ratified physical distancing on its workplace, mandatory temperature screening and strict precautionary measures have been executed at all Ncell Centres throughout the country and offices. Moreover, they encourage their partners, suppliers, and customers to continue working on a virtual basis via digital technologies to maintain social distancing.
