WhatsApp Will Support 50 Person Video Call Via Messenger Rooms

Due to the coronavirus and, people have to stay in their homes. They cannot go out for work or to catch up with friends. This condition increases the number of users on the internet. People are spending their most of the time on the internet, and mostly on video conference.

A month ago, Facebook has announced its new messenger rooms for Facebook Messenger. With this feature, users can chat with other users directly over the portal, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Also, Facebook doubled the limit for video calling. Now it’s time for WhatsApp, it will soon come with messenger rooms for video calls which will support 50 people.

As per WABetaInfo, these new features on WhatsApp will work the same as other video conferencing app. There will be one host who will create a room and shares its link and access code to others. The best part, the person who does not have any Facebook account can also participate in the conference call.

The integration of the WhatsApp web with Messenger Rooms will be available in the Android 2.20.139. Soon the feature will also available for iOS application. At present, WhatsApp is allowing 8 people for video chat. So with this new feature, you can connect up to 50 people in your video chat.

WABetaInfo reported that the new Messenger Rooms feature will be available through the paperclip menu. It will show contact sharing options in WhatsApp’s group and individual chats. Once you click on the Messenger Rooms option, you will be directed on the introduction prompt. It will inform you are directed to Messenger Rooms. Also, you can create a Room through the messaging app’s main menu.

So this will be outstanding features by WhatsApp. Now you can connect with more people at a single time.
