OnePlus 8 series: Everything we know until now!

OnePlus has already been a fabulous and sturdy smartphone in the market. There will be no doubt in stating that the company delivers the most desirable smartphone in the market. In just a few years, OnePlus has stabilized itself as one of the most exciting opponents in the U.S. smartphone market. After the success of OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T that stand out remarkable phones of the entire year 2019. And for 2020, it seems like OnePlus is getting ready to amaze us again.

According to the latest leaks, two models, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be introducing on April 14, due to the pandemic outbreak, the company will host the launch event online.

Both models will have 5G support. According to the leaks, the “8 Pro” will have a 120Hz display plus; we will see 2 new features on the company’s eighth-generation phones. This time, OnePlus 8 Pro may be the model with wireless charging and IP certification. OnePlus gained an IP rating certificate with IP68 dust and water resistance in January.

This year Punch-Hole style camera is preferred. On the back, the 8 Pro has 4 cameras, while the “8” model only has 3 cameras. The resolution of the primary camera is expected to be 48MP.

OnePlus has officially announced on Twitter that the forthcoming OnePlus 8 Series has received DisplayMate A+ certification. It’s the highest rating available on the popular display platform.

Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, fortifies that the “OnePlus 8” series broke 13 records altogether. In an article posted by PCMAG, “The new OnePlus 8 phones match or beat leading competitors like the Galaxy S20 Ultra and the iPhone 11 Pro Max in a rigorous series of display tests.”

According to OnePlus Forum, CEO Pete Lau has revealed a few aspects about the upcoming phones such as the presence of Snapdragon 865, which is genuinely apparent at this point of time. More importantly, Lau disclosed that the OnePlus 8 series would operate the faster LPDDR5 RAM module. It is said to offer a data transfer rate of 6,400Mbps with bandwidth as high as 51.2GB/s, while also reducing power consumption by 45%.

Also, the OnePlus 8 series will operate UFS 3.0 flash storage that claimed to offer read and write speed of up to 1700Mb/s. Aside from using UFS 3.0 storage, OnePlus will also utilize Turbo Write and Host Performance Booster tech to enhance the memory performance additional.

According to Pete Lau, in a forum he wrote, “We’ve also recently announced that the upcoming lineup would be 5G-enabled, allowing all of you to be among the first users in the world to enjoy the unprecedented speedy experience offered by the new generation of communications technology, leveraging the performance provided by the premium hardware and software combination of the OnePlus 8 series.”

He also added, “Performance is only one of the many aspects that make the OnePlus 8 series an exact flagship lineup.”
